Deku in All Might mode!
Lured by Toga, Ryukyu and his three apprentices burst through the basement ceiling in the middle of a fight between Deku and Overhaul. The latter, taking advantage of the hole left by the newcomers, tries to escape with Eri.
As they are rising, the cloak of Lemillion appears. By seeing it, Eri remembers her sacrifice, which has the effect of activating her Qirk: the power to rewind! And she uses it on Chisaki, who thus regains his body from before the fusion. Then she throws herself into the arms of a Midoriya who was trying to catch up with them. This time, he won’t let her go!
But Chisaki won’t let her escape. He attacked Deku, which, to defend itself, gives a kick whose shock wave projects him and Eri into the open air, like the New Hampshire Smash from All Might! He has just used the One for All 100%, but thanks to Eri’s power, he has not received any damage, better, the injuries he had have all disappeared!
Overhaul merges with Rikiya Katsukame and turns into a giant monster. Night Eye, mortally wounded, asks Ochaco and Ryukyu to help him return to the surface.
Deku no longer has anything to worry about, because thanks to Eri, he can use One For All 100%. And, in this state, Chisaki is no match for him. He gets smashed One Punch Man-style by Midoriya, breaking Sir’s fatal vision of him.
The culmination of this Yakuza arc ! This episode is a master class when it comes to the adaptation of an epic moment of a manga. The seiyus, the direction, the use of silence, the music, the impacts of blows and, of course, the ANIMATION, everything was good !!! Special mention to the scene where Eri throws herself in Deku’s arms, sublimated by the song « Might+U », and to the one where Izuku finishes with Overhaul which is a perfect Sakuga sequence ! In this episode, Deku has never looked so much like All Might : he saves Eri with a smile, his presence and his actions influence his comrades and above all, he goes against his destiny by not dying and beating the big bad guy (without killing him, because he is a hero). This is a perfect answer to the statement of All Might, in episode 11 of season 3, « You’re next! ». We’ve passed the climax, all we have to do now is conclude this arc and the omens don’t seem to predict a happy ending for Night Eye, as his little black and white smile at the very end tells us.
