One Piece ep. 917: The Holyland in Tumult! Emperor of the Sea Blackbeard Cackles!/ Eng. Review

Meanwhile, in the rest of the world…

On Kuraigana, the island of Mihawk, Perona continues to play the roommates of the Great Corsair. But the moment she learn that Moria is still alive, she decides to leave the island. A judicious choice for Dracule, given what is going on at the Reverie.

Mihawk’s worried about what’s going on at the Reverie.

Meanwhile, on the pirate island BeeHive (Blackbeard’s HQ), Geko Moria and his army of zombies are making a mess in order to find Absalom. Too bad that the latter is dead and that his demon fruit has been stolen from him and given to Shiliew.

Shiliew, the man who took Absalom’s fruit of invisibility…

Moria is mad with rage, but Teach tells him to calm down, because his island only exists for partying. He then offers him to join his crew. He also tells him that the world is in turmoil: at the Reverie, the revolutionary cadres have fought Admirals Fujitora and Ryukugyu to save Kuma while Big Mom is an her way to Wano, where Kaido and some captains of the terrible generation are already. The battle for the title of king of the Pirates seems to have begun!

Enter the Yonko Marshal D. Teach AKA Blackbeard!

A rather pleasant episode that serves as an interlude between the first and second acts and that contrasts with the current arch. We are informed a little more about what happened at the Rêverie and it might be that Wano will be the next stage of major events! We may learn more with episode 918 which will mark the beginning of the second act.
