The catch-up course is about to start and the presence of Endeavor and especially All Might makes a lot of noise among the students. Shoto, Bakugo, Yoarashi and Utsushimi are getting ready for class, but Gang Orca separates them from the group: what they lacked during the tests is not strength, but heart.
Their mission is simple. To babysit a turbulent primary school class and to reach out to them, to connect with them. What seemed easy at first becomes complicated very quickly. The children are far from being angels. Bullying, force, sympathy, nothing helps, nothing works.
Meanwhile, All Might and Endeavor are having a discussion. Despite his efforts and his record of solved cases, the new number one is unable to stop the rise in crime. So he asks his rival how he can become a symbol of peace. Toshinori understands his frustration, but he explains that he does not have to follow the same path as him, that he has to find his own.
The high school students end up thinking that, as future heroes, all they have to do is use their alter. Not the best choice, according to the schoolmistress, because her kids think that they are much stronger than heroes. How is the course going to end, because if it starts like that, there’s little chance it will end well!
An average episode, not very interesting. This new arc, if we can call it that, is not very exciting. Nevertheless it is essential for the evolution of the characters, because between the beginning of a story and its end, it is necessary that the protagonists have evolved towards the best and that the obvious flaws of the beginning have been erased towards the end thanks to the trials they have gone through. This is the hero’s initiatory journey. So, indeed, this catch-up course is not as enjoyable to watch as the yakuza arc that just end, but it is essential for the future of Shoto and Bakugo who are, after Deku, the main characters.
